"I was fortunate enough to study at Wakayama University as a MEXT scholar for a year. I am truly grateful to TMV for being the guiding light throughout the process by being thorough with the fundamentals of Japanese language, introducing the culture with personal anecdotes of the esteemed teachers, with visits of Japanese guests to hone our speaking skills, etc. With a strong foundation, the much-intimidating program in Japan challenged me, but also presented the perfect opportunity to put all that I'd learned in TMV to good use. It was a brand new experience to prepare a research report from scratch, right from investing months deciding upon a topic, conducting tedious interviews and questionnaires, to summarizing 6-months of research work into a 15-minute presentation. Interacting with the locals via volunteer work, learning karate, participating in the local festivals and more made it the wholesome immersive learning that every foreign language student dreams of."

"During the three years I studied at TMV, I learned about a wide range of aspects of Japan, from things that are obvious to things that are not well known. Thanks to such good education, I was able to get into the MEXT scholarship program and studied at Wakayama University for a year. During the first few months, I felt quite hesitant to speak in Japanese with the localities because I was worried whether my Japanese would sound nonsensical and grammatically incorrect to them.But these localities themselves encouraged me to speak more, helped me to correct my mistakes and taught me nuances which the Japanese usually use in their daily life. This in turn helped me build my confidence in Japanese. Thanks to this program I was also able to make friends from different countries and got to learn a bit about their culture as well. I got to see the picturesque nature, got to learn about minute history details from the museums and got to experience Japan’s unique culture and festivals. In short, I was quite satisfied with the scholarship program. It also prepared me to live an independent life ahead. I will never forget these experiences!"

"Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth has given me the experience of a lifetime. From 1st year of the college to the final one, there was a tremendous change in my Japanese Language skills. "My experience at the Japanese Language Department of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth was truly enriching. The faculty ere incredibly supportive, guiding me through my language-learning journey. But it wasn’t just about studying!
