Course Structure

Duration

• Three years + 1 year Honours Program as per NEP guidelines

Eligibility

• HSC or 12th std. exam or equivalent like SSC+3 years Diploma (On merit basis)

Evaluation Pattern

• Papers carrying 100 marks each per semester will be evaluated in 60 marks end semester + 40 marks internals.

• Internal marks of 40 will be evaluated through a) Assignments b) Regular Internal Tests c)Attendance and d) Performance in the class.

• Papers carrying 50 marks will be evaluated only for internal.

• Credit Details : Indicated max credits against each subject


Examination Schedule

Choice Based Credit System has been adopted as per Vidyapeeth Rules. 60:40 Pattern i.e. External (theory) 60 marks and Internal 40 marks. Internal includes Tutorials, Assignments, Presentation and Viva-voce.

• This course aims at developing ability to communicate with native speakers of Japanese.

• Basic and Japanese linguistics (includes, IPA, Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Pragmatics etc.),

• Research Methodology basics, a project or dissertation which basically trains the students in writing in structural and logical manner,

• Teaching methodology was historiography & SLA, course design, evaluation, mock teaching classes

• Current affairs of Japan

• Ancient, Mediaeval, Feudal and Modern History of Japan

• Physical Geography, climate and seasons, administrative divisions and infrastructure of Japan
