The Department of Ayurveda & Yoga has received several prestigious national and international recognitions for its outstanding contributions to research, innovation, and academic excellence. In December 2024, Dr. Abhijit Joshi and the Department were honored with the "Honor of Appreciation" by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, in recognition of his remarkable contributions and achievements as a CCRAS collaborator. Earlier, in November 2020, the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (AAPNA), Pennsylvania, USA, awarded the Department a "Certificate of Excellence" for its innovative, meritorious, and scholarly research in the field of Ayurveda and Yoga, acknowledging its continued commitment to excellence. The Department was also recognized as the "Best Literature Resource Center" by the World Ayurveda Foundation for its exceptional contribution to developing an extensive literature research database. Further strengthening its reputation for quality and innovation, the Department received the prestigious International Quality Certification from IIQC Europe for maintaining high standards in quality services and management performance while promoting innovative research in Ayurveda and Yoga through modern research tools and international best practices. Additionally, the Department was recognized as the "Best Collaborative Research Centre" by the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Pune, for its exemplary collaborative research initiatives and significant contributions to the advancement of Ayurvedic science.

WORLD BOOK OF RECORDS, LONDON

The department made history on February 21, 2020, securing two prestigious World Book of Records:

·        18 M.A. Yoga students performed a breathtaking sequence of 84 asanas to the chants of Shiva Tandav - completing the "Attitude of Gratitude" tribute within 18.37 minutes.

·        40 M.Sc. Nutrition & Food Science students along with staff set a global benchmark for the systematic presentation of "256 Ancient Indian Therapeutic Recipes," showcasing the power of traditional food science on a world stage.
