• Collection of 16th and 17th century manuscripts is available in the library. • The collection consists of 2,270 rare manuscripts in Sanskrit and Marathi. • Manuscripts have been scanned and are available in CD format. • An additional 82 Tibetan manuscripts are also part of the collection.
We have open access system in the library. Books are arranged according to Colon as well as Dewey Decimal classification scheme for convenience of the users. The users through the Web OPAC facility can easily access the status of the books.
New books are displayed every Monday for a week at the display counter at the circulation desk.
Reference books include encyclopedias, dictionaries, rare & costly books, theses, dissertation, project reports can be referred only in the reading room.

• The library subscribes to 67 periodicals (Indian and foreign), arranged subject-wise in the reading hall.
• No current periodical or newspaper is allowed to be taken outside the library.

The back volumes of periodicals are kept in the Stack room which can issued outside the library

• Kesari Collection: Noted works/books of Lokmanya Tilak.
