TMU HOSTEL FOR MALE STUDENTS

A major concern for students residing outside Pune city is finding appropriate accommodation. Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth has a well equipped hostel facility for both male and female students. The convenient location of the Vidyapeeth enables the students to find accommodation as paying guests within a radius of 4 kms from the Vidyapeeth Campus.

TMU provides accommodation for male students of the college, at the Hostel which is situated in the campus. This accommodation is provided to students strictly on the basis of merit. The hostel offers accommodation for 48 students. The accommodation is available on single, 2 and 3 persons sharing basis. Ample parking space is available for residents and the visitors.
Construction of a New building for Boys' Hostel is in progress.

Medical Facilities

An In house resident medical officer is present on the campus at all times. The medical officer can be contacted through the rectors.

Other Facilities

Students are provided with the basic furniture in the room which includes a bed, a study table and a chair. Hot water, water coolers to provide safe drinking water are available for the students. Telephone facility is available for residents. The Vidyapeeth has a canteen for meals for the students. Outside caterers also supply meals at a nominal rate.
The administration of the hostel is taken care of by rectors and security personnel who live on campus.

TMU HOSTEL FOR LADY STUDENTS

Pune has been considered as a safe city for ladies. However, the Vidyapeeth belives that a hostel within the premises provides greater security to female students who come from various parts of Maharashtra and India. The Vidyapeeth recognized this need and has built a new hostel for female students in 2007.
This hostel provides accommodation for 104 students. The hostel is equipped with 16 rooms with attached bathroom and toilet facility on a twin sharing basis. The hostel provides 24 rooms with common bathrooms and toilets on each floor on a 3 person sharing basis.

The hostel has a dining hall for meals and outside caterers also provide meals at a nominal rate. There is a washing machine facility and a TV room for residents. There is a newspaper room and telephone facility available to the residents.
Two guest rooms are available for parents of the residents. Booking of these rooms should be sought separately from the rectors in advance.

Other Accommodation

Pune does not have a dearth of private accommodations. However, such accommodations vary in price, quality and availability. Students are advised to secure private accommodation immediately on the confirmation of admission. There is private accommodation available within a 4 kms radius of the Vidyapeeth.
