BACHELOR OF ARTS (CLASSICAL DANCE - KATHAK / BHARATNATYAM)


Aims & Objectives:
--- The programme of B. A. Classical Dance aims at creating the theoretical base, developing a proper approach among the students to Classical Dance and enhancing their capacity to perform the dance.
Special Feature:
--- Imparting education through modern and taditional methods.
Duration 3 Years
Medium of Instruction English/Marathi
Eligibility 12th pass / S. S. C. (old), 10th + Completion of any two years, Govt. recognized diploma, 10tth + D. Ed., 10th + I. I. T. / A.T. D. / T. D. + Diploma in Dance of TMV or Madhyama of Dance in Gandharva Mahvidyalaya.
Admission to First Year :
--- For the candidates who have passed Madhyama or Diploma in Classical Dance but are below 12th only written entrance examination is applicable.
--- For the candidates who are 12th pass but do not satisfy eligibility in Classical Dance, there will be practical test and viva for getting admission.
--- The candidates not satisfying any kind of eligibility, both written and practical tests are conducted
  (For Admission at any level audition test is compulsory)
Course Structure 2 Theory papers + Practical = Total 600 marks
Examination for First and Second Year, Third year carries 700 marks.
Total marks - 1300.
