Great grandson of freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak.

 Son of Late Shri. Jayantrao Tilak who spearheaded the Goa Liberation Movement and Sanyukta Maharashtra Samiti. Late Shri.Tilak was also Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) for 12 years and Chairman, Maharashtra Legislative Council for 16 years.

Son of Late Smt. Indutai Tilak a famous Social Worker and guiding spirit for several Educational Institutes like Seva Sadan and Huzur Paga. Family background thus resulted for developing keen interest in several social activities since childhood.

Chief Trustee, Kesari Mahratta Trust which runs Daily Kesari founded by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1881. Daily Kesari is the foremost among the Marathi newspapers which has always stood for the upliftment of the down-trodden people.
President & Trustee, Tilak Smarak Trust which promote social and political service to the citizens. It confers the prestigious Tilak Award on a person for his/her contribution to the service of Nation.

President & Trustee, Shri Shivaji Mandir Trust which promotes the activities to respect the Great Warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Revolutionary Swatantrya Veer Savarkar by arranging meetings and suitable programmes every year. Various sports activities are also conducted by the Trust.
President & Trustee, Anath Hindu Mahilashram (Hindu Women’s Rescue Home Society) founded in 1935 for protection of shelterless women now takes care of about eighty court committed girls. Lodging, boarding, educational and medical facilities are provided to all inmates. In addition, Trust runs working women hostel and school.
