Late
Dr. Deepak Tilak Holistic Centre of Excellence for Research in Yogic and
Ayurvedic Sciences (DHEYA)
The Department has been actively
engaged in qualitative research for the past three decades. An independent
fundamental research unit was formally established on 1st February 2017.
During its initial phase, research activities were conducted under Late Vd. P.G.
Nanal Department of Ayurveda and Yoga.
Subsequently, the research
wing of the Department was formally named the “Lokmanya Tilak
International Research Centre for Fundamental Research in Ayurveda and Yoga”.
The Centre was inaugurated in January 2020 by Dr. Jayant Deopujari, Chairperson of the Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
Following the sad demise of
Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Deepak Tilak, the
Research Wing was later renamed as “DHEYA – Late Dr. Deepak Tilak
Holistic Centre of Excellence for Research in Yogic and Ayurvedic Sciences.”
The Centre undertakes
various government-funded, national and international research projects and
actively contributes through publications, conferences, workshops, and academic
initiatives aimed at advancing Yogic and Ayurvedic sciences.
