My Student Friends,
We are living in the time of science, industry and technology. It has greatly influenced all walks of life. But, now, we must be well aware that this is all external growth, and will hamper our 'inward life' most drastically. Therefore, we must be well aware that unless the studies of Moral and Social Sciences become a part of our life, we cannot hope to progress inwardly.

Our department of Social Sciences is renowned and is guided by reputed teaching staff members. Along with the Social Sciences we are also running a course in M. A. Philosophy. This course offers studies in various schools of Philosophy and a critical survey of the Indian and the Western traditions as well as a course in Moral Philosophy.

We encourage interdisciplinary research projects that will help to meet the needs of the society.

We also run M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses in the area of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
