Aims & Objectives
Course highlights
Eligibility
1) For the M.Phil (Vidyanishnat) program each student is admitted after undergoing a rigorous selection procedure. Students are selected on the basis of their experience in research, academic merit and interview with the selection committee every year.
2) Student having passed P.G. degree examination with at least 55 % of marks or grade equivalent will be considered eligible for this course, relaxation of 50% for reserved category (SC, ST & physically challenged).
3) Student’s eligibility for admission to M.Phil course shall be determined on the basis of U.G.C.’s Action Plan for Academic and Administrative reforms which states that admission shall be determined on the basis of student’s performance in the entrance examination conducted as per the U.G.C. Regulations.
4) Admission of students to M.Phil programs shall be granted according to the provisions of Government Policy of reservation for SC/ST physically challenged.
Course Pattern
The duration of the course shall be 18 months
Admission Procedure
1) An applicant seeking admission to M. Phil. program shall apply to the Registrar in prescribed format.
2) The applicant will be informed about the day, date and venue for the entrance test.
3) The student has to clear the entrance examination.
4) After clearing entrance examination the student has to face an interview.
5) After the interview the selection committee will be recommending the admission of M.Phil course.
6) The admission will be confirmed only after the candidate clears the entrance test and an interview.

Scholarship and fellowship
The scholarship is given through social welfare department of Maharashtra Government for SC/ST students / Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, UGC New Delhi.
