Aims & Objectives
Course highlights
M.Phil. is regular course. The duration of this course shall be 18 months, i.e. 3 terms. The first two terms are allotted for the teaching of the two theory papers, writing of two term papers and presentation of the seminars based on these term papers. The remaining term is allotted for completion of the dissertation.
Eligibility
For admission to M.Phil. prorgramme applicants fulfilling the following criteria shall be treated eligible.
Person having passed P.G. Degree examination with at least 55 % of Marks or grade equivalent there of to be awarded by concerned University, relaxable to 50% for reservation category.
Students eligibility for admission to M.Phil. course shall be determined on the basis of U.G.C.’s Action Plan for Academic and Administrative reforms which states that admission shall be determined on the basis of student’s performance in the entrance examination conducted as per the U.G.C. Regulations.
Admission of students to M.Phil. programmes shall be granted according to the provisions of Government Policy of reservation for SC/ST, Physically challenged.
Course Pattern
18 months or 1 ½ years.
Admission Procedure
1) An applicant seeking admission to M. Phil. program shall apply to the Registrar in prescribed format.
2) The applicant he /she will be informed about the day, date and venue for the entrance test.
3) The student has to clear the entrance examination. After clearing entrance examination the student has to face the interview and after the interview the selection committee will be recommending the admission of M.Phil. Course.
4) The admission will be confirmed only after the candidate clears the entrance test and an interview.
